These provisions amend the Civil Registration Act, 2004 to provide for the registration of civil partnerships in Ireland. Entering into a civil partnership is a solemn legal contract and it is vital that all necessary legalities are complied with in order to ensure that a civil partnership is legally valid. To make an appointment to give notification of intention to enter into a civil partnership ("three months notice") you should contact your local civil registration office.
