Payment Methods
Cheques, Bank Drafts, International Money Orders and Irish Postal Orders will be accepted but must be denominated in € Euro. Cheques, Bank Drafts and International Money Orders must be drawn on a branch of a bank located in the Republic of Ireland.
Cheques etc. should be made payable to The Civil Registration Service.
Credit Card/Debit Card payments can be made in person at Oifig an Ard-Chláraitheora (General Register Office), by fax to 090 6632999 or by post to this office. We accept MasterCard and Visa credit cards and Laser and Visa debit cards.
Credit card/Debit card details sent by post or fax are sent at the cardholders own risk and Oifig an Ard-Chláraitheora (General Register Office) cannot accept responsibility for any losses or damages incurred by the loss or interception by third parties. Credit card/Debit card details should not be sent to this office by e-mail.
